Free & open to people with disabilities and their support persons
Everyone has a story—and every story begins with a spark. ✨
In celebration of our upcoming June event, “Glow Up,” Storytellers Macon is offering a joyful and welcoming workshop just for people with disabilities and their support persons. “Kindling Your Story” is a space to explore the art of storytelling in a supportive, low-pressure, and heart-centered environment.
Whether you already know what you want to share or are still discovering your spark, this workshop will guide you through the basics of personal storytelling. We’ll play with memory, voice, emotion, and structure—no experience necessary, just curiosity and a willingness to explore.
Led by Julia Morrison, we’ll help you find the moments that matter most and give you tools to shape them into stories that shine. Think of it as a creative campfire where you can warm up, speak freely, and let your light glow at your own pace.
And while this workshop is offered in anticipation of our June 10 event at Grant’s Lounge, there’s absolutely no pressure to perform. You’re welcome to come simply for the experience, the inspiration, and the joy of being in community.
